Why you should attend Mercor academy and get certified on "Introduction to Agents"
The Purpose: Mercor Academy helps you build the skills that matter most for where work is heading, and prove you've mastered them. Each pathway is a real certification program. You'll learn the core concepts, demonstrate your understanding through activities, and earn a Mercor certification recognized across the platform.
Where to find the "Mercor Academy": When you're on Work.mercor.com
I just completed the course "Introduction to Agents" that is AI agentic-related . After each video lesson, you’ll have to pass the knowledge checks and, towards the end, pass two interviews. I got the certificate and the training took me: 1 hr 33 min (as per the clock they ran)
It's worth noting that the tests are timed, so be mindful. Many peeps I know got "failed"/barred from completing the certification course because they couldn't finish within the clock, and for various other reasons, such as the wrong attempt (exceeding the 3-attempt limit).
There are other courses that may become available later too, so this is just a start.
Some basic FAQs about Mercor Academy
How do I access it?
You go to your homepage https://work.mercor.com and navigate to "learn" tab.
Do I get paid to attend the training?
No. You attend the training on your own time. It’s unpaid unless it’s part of a work trial or active contract (more info here: https://talent.docs.mercor.com/how-to/work-trial). You don't get paid, but you learn some skills and get certified.
Does getting certified improve the chance of getting on a a paid project?
The response is mixed, but some folks on reddit and elsewhere claim that getting certified helped them land a new paid project for their domain.
